Muirgen Offshore Wind Farm
is a proposed renewable energy development located in the Celtic Sea, off the south east coast of Ireland.
At its nearest point, Muirgen will be over 45km off the south coast, lying entirely outside Ireland’s 12 nautical mile foreshore limit. The project has the potential to deliver enough renewable energy to help power over 850,000 households annually, helping Ireland to meet its binding target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030.
